Ian Everett
Owner, Director and Trainer for the Everett Partnership Ltd.

My background
After a rewarding 40‑year career with Waitrose, part of the John Lewis Partnership, I made the decision to retire from retail leadership and begin a new chapter — one focused on teaching, coaching, and helping people develop skills that genuinely matter.
During my time with Waitrose, I had the privilege of running multi‑million‑pound branches, delivering strong commercial results while ensuring the business consistently met both internal and external audit standards.
Just as importantly, my role was about people. I spent many years developing, coaching, and supporting teams, helping individuals grow in confidence, capability, and responsibility.
That people‑first focus has shaped everything I do today.
Why The Everett Partnership Ltd
In retirement, I wanted to use my experience in a different way — supporting people to learn new skills and strengthen existing ones, particularly in situations where being calm, prepared, and confident can make a real difference.
Through The Everett Partnership Ltd, my focus is on first aid training, delivered in a way that is practical, clear, and supportive. Whether working with businesses or individuals, my approach is always the same: it’s about the person. My aim is to ensure that everyone I work with feels properly equipped to respond effectively in an emergency situation.
My Approach
I believe training should be:
- Calm and reassuring
- Practical and easy to understand
- Grounded in real‑world experience
- Focused on building confidence, not pressure
People often tell me they appreciate my steady, practical manner, and that they leave training feeling more confident and better prepared. That trust is something I value highly.
Working With Me
While I work with both organisations and individuals, my priority is always the individual learner — understanding their needs, building their confidence, and ensuring they leave with skills they can use when it matters most.
If you’re looking for training delivered by someone with deep leadership experience, a strong commitment to high standards, and a genuinely calm, people‑centred approach, I’d be pleased to work with you.
Life outside of work
You’ll find me relaxing with my wife, Aileen, an amazing Celebrant – www.aileeneverett.com and our very cheeky Irish wheaten terrier, Harry.
